1.2: The Gnomes

The gnomes who lived in Batch Productopia rarely saw anything outside the walls of the factory town. Only the most trusted workers were stationed near the doors or the magical docks.  Only director-level and above were actually allowed to leave the factory town, but only to negotiate contracts and visit major accounts.  Most citizens of Batch Productopia never saw anything other than their own homes and the assembly lines – and they are just fine with that!  There was no time to daydream when there was work was to be done!

Most gnomes who lived in Batch Productoia were proud of their fate.  They respected the authority of the city managers, and they found meaning in their roles.  Men worked the production line.  Women tended for the very young, and created batches of textile goods.  Sons learned a trade and carried raw materials to the production line.  Daughters performed maintenance and washed and dyed fabric.

As they worked, the gnomes often sang:

“The Gnomes of Batch Productopia.”

Chords: C, G7, and B,
